Anthony Martin D'Addetta, III

D'Addetta, Anthony Martin, III, 65, died on Wednesday, June 1, 2022.  "Tony" was born in Jersey City and lived his entire life in Lyndhurst, less the past 9 years where he lived with his friends at the Oakland Care Center.  In his younger years,  Anthony worked for Varrelmann's Bake Shop of Rutherford and was embraced by the Varrelmann family.  Short of baking, he did everything else there with pride and as a member of  Friendship House of Hackensack, he and a host of his friends would enthusiastically complete the days jobs before them.  Anthony was a huge fan of the Olympics and the New Jersey Devils.  He loved arts and crafts and loved his family. People who came to know Anthony "Tony", came to love and care for him for who he was and he will be dearly missed by all he touched.    Anthony is predeceased by his parents, Anthony M. D'Addetta and Alice (Nee Metzner) D'Addetta  and his brother, Douglas D'Addetta.  He is survived by his dear brother and sister, Dennis D'Addetta & his wife, Jenine and Joann Giarratana & her husband, Richard, by his sister-in-law, Kim, his nieces and nephews, Danielle, Lauren, Douglas, Roxanne,Jodee, Jade and Spencer and grand nieces and nephews, Cambria, Ava, Adrianna and Michael, also by many cousins, aunts, uncles and all his friends, especially at Oakland Care Center.   

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc, 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Friday, June 3, 2022 from 5 to 7PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 9AM then To Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst where at 10AM a funeral mass will be offered. Cremation private.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Anthony's memory to The Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
