Obituary of Michael Barry

Barry, Michael, 79, of North Arlington, died on Thursday, May 23, 2019.  Mr. Barry was born in Manhattan where he was raised until joining the United States Navy, proudly serving his country during the Vietnam War.  Upon his return from service, he lived in North Bergen before moving to North Arlington in 1971 where he was a resident for 48 years.  Michael worked as a custodian for the North Arlington Board of Education for many years, retiring in 2004.  He is predecased by his mother and step-father, Marie (nee Vandernoot) and Joseph Nowak, by his brother, Daniel Barry in 2001, and by his step-sister, Helen Ramos in 2005.  Michael is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Alice Barry (nee Fogarty) and their loving children, Joseph (Lori), Kevin (Heather), Michelle, and William Barry, and by his cherished grandchildren, Ryan, Elias, Ally Jean, and Austin.  Private Cremation.
