It is with great sadness to know that we have lost a great woman who has served us at Harrison House for more than a quarter century. She was a pioneer bringing food and care to people who were looked down upon and feared bey many. Even as the epidemic changed JoAnn Germann was "spot-on" month after month delivering home cooked meals with a wonderful, gracious personality. Her visits, all the way from Lyndhurst on a Saturday afternoon, filled our residents with joy and the meals she cooked... phenomenal. She is in our prayers and will always remain in our memory.

My deepest sympathy to JoAnn’s Family. I taught with her in Lincoln School (Music) and have fond memories of those “Good Old Days”! I also was the Co-Coordinator of Family Promise where we hosted homeless families three weeks a year at the United Presbyterian Church. We provided dinners each evening that is provided by volunteers... each time we hosted, JoAnn and the Social Concerns Committee ALWAYS made a delicious dinner for our families. In fact, Thursday was always “Mt. Carmel night!”We couldn’t be more grateful to JoAnn, her big heart and the caring people on the Social Concerns Committee. Jo, I know you are still doing His work! Rest In Peace... you will never be forgotten.
