Obituary of Hermilio Z. Villavicencio

Villavicencio, Hermilio Z., 82, of Lyndhurst, died on Friday, January 15, 2021.  Mr. Villavicencio was born in Huachon, Pasco, Peru, and moved to the United States in 1965.  He lived in Harrison, Kearny, North Arlington, and finally Lyndhurst where he was a resident for the past 40 years.  Hermilio earned his Bachelor of Science degree from NJIT and soon after began his career in the field of chemistry.  He worked as a chemical technician, first for Mobay Chemical Corporation in Haledon and then for Degussa - Bayer in Piscataway.  Hermilio took pride in his knowledge and work in the chemical industry, but also enjoyed traveling, watching the Peruvian National Soccer Team, taking trips to Atlantic City, and vacationing down the shore in Lavalette.  Hermilio is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Judith Villavicencio (nee Alzza) and their loving children, Victor Villavicencio and his wife, Jennifer and Judy Villavicencio and her husband, Eddy, and by his cherished grandchildren, Lindsay and Ethan Goya and Jonathan, Olivia, and Victor Villavicencio.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 4 - 7 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Thursday, January 21 at 10 AM.  A funeral service will begin at 11 AM.  Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
