Obituary of Dennis John Lillis, Jr.

Dennis John Lillis, Jr., age 54, of Lyndhurst, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Jersey City, Dennis lived most of his life in Lyndhurst, where he built a legacy of hard work and unwavering devotion to his family and friends.  After graduating high school, Dennis began his career as an electrician and became a proud member of IBEW Local #164 in Paramus. He was known for his skill, work ethic, and dedication to his trade. Aside from his career, he was a self-taught golf enthusiast. Dennis’s favorite local spot, Marty Gras, held a special place in his heart, where he spent countless moments with friends, enjoying pool and darts.  Although he did not have children of his own, Dennis loved his nieces and nephews as his own, creating lasting memories with them that they will always cherish. His loud, captivating presence and his Irish goodbyes, made an impression on all who knew him. His love for his family and friends was always evident.

Dennis was predeceased by his beloved mother, Judith (nee Lochhead) Lillis, 23 years ago, and by his nephew, Kyle. He is survived by his father, Dennis John Lillis, Sr. and his wife, Diana; his loving sisters, Kim Lillis-Kularski and her husband, Joseph, Verle Tyther and her companion, Kyran, and Casey Lillis; and his cherished nieces and nephews, Kaitlyn, Tyler, Ryan, Jarrad, Kelsey, Brandon, Keith, and Charles. He is also survived by his six great-nieces and nephews and countless friends who will deeply miss him.

A Celebration of Life will be planned for a future date.  Cremation is private and under the direction of Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ.  You may express your condolences to Dennis's family by using our tribute wall.
