Catherine Rullo (nee Sabino), 85, of Lyndhurst, died on Friday, February 14, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. On this Valentine's Day, she was reunited with her beloved husband, Tony, after too many years apart.  

Catherine was born in Passaic and lived most of her life in Lyndhurst, spending the last twenty years living with her daughter in Kearny. Kay, as she was called by her loved ones, was a homemaker and a licensed beautician and a member of the Lyndhurst Fire Department Ladies Auxillary.   After the sudden death of her husband, Kay, went to work full time and  ultimately retired from Frank's GMC, of Lyndhurst, where she forged many beautiful friendships. Kay was the matriarch of a beautiful family, filling her home with laughter, love, and food with doors open for anyone and everyone. She raised two incredible daughters, each a token to her strength and love of family. She will be deeply missed but a great comfort is felt knowing she is listening to The Bee Gees and dancing once again. 

She is predeceased by her beloved husband Anthony 'Tony' Rullo, of twenty-seven years. She is survived by her loving daughters Maryann Aynilian and her husband Greg, Michele O'Neill and her husband Michael, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Alec Aynilian and Michala O'Neill. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Carol Lesny and her husband John, Anne Giammanco and her husband Frank, nephews Marc Sabino, Francesco Giammanco (Taryn), niece Alexandra Graziani (Joseph), Carryanne Eckhardt (Charles), by many family and  countless friends. Her family's gratitude goes out to the caring staff at Alaris. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 from 10 AM - 12:30 PM.  A funeral mass will be offered at 1 PM at Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst.  Interment, St. Joseph's Cemetery, Lyndhurst.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Catherine's memory to Valley Hospice, 15 Essex Road, Suite 301, Paramus, NJ 07652 or online by clicking here.
