Obituary of Pearl Diamante

Please share a memory of Pearl to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Pearl Diamante (née Mattarochio), 96, died on Saturday March 29, 2025, with her daughter and loving family by her side.  Pearl was born in Lyndhurst, raised in Lyndhurst and lived her entire life on Stuyvesant Avenue…in Lyndhurst.  She went to work while in high school at Country Girl Fashions, until it closed.  At that time, Pearl took a lot of pride in becoming the head teller at Bank of America, formerly United Jersey Bank, until she retired at the age of 71. Pearl was always giving of herself and to others.  She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, especially the Mt. Carmel Seniors, Social Concerns Committee, AARP and Red Hat Ladies, all of Lyndhurst. She also volunteered at the Meadowlands Hospital, Secaucus.  She enjoyed many friendships; her friend list too long to mention name by name.  Always smiling, and quietly funny, she had a natural way of making friends with strangers.

Pearl, a precious gem. Her kind spirit and warm heart will be missed so much by all she knew and loved.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 41 Years, Silvio Diamante in 1988. She is survived by her loving daughter and best friend, Adele Diamante and son, Michael Diamante & his wife, Joyce, her grandson, Michael Diamante & his wife, Jackie, by her  two precious great grandchildren and countless family and friends.

Her cremation is private and under the direction of Nazare Memorial home, Inc. 403 Ridge Road.  Please consider a donation in her memory to Lyndhurst Food Pantry or John Theurer Cancer Center at Hackensack Medical Center by clicking here.  You may send condolences to her family by using our tribute wall.
