Martha Solano, 69, died on Saturday, June 7, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.  Martha was born in Guatemala and came to New York City in 1975.  She then lived in Elizabeth in 1986 until 1990 when she moved to Union City.  That is where she met the love of her life, Robert  A. Solano.  They married shortly after and moved to Lyndhurst, where they have lived for the past 25 years.  Martha worked for the Township of Lyndhurst first as a Lunch Aide and then a crossing guard, where she safely guided high school students of town until she retired in 2019. Martha loved music and enjoyed working with children, being in nature, and all animals.  Her love of all God's creatures was reflected in her daily life and her vibrant smile and caring heart will be missed by her dear family and friends who knew and loved her.  Martha is predeceased by her parents, Salvadore and Marcaria Gonzalez.  She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Robert  A. Solano, by her cherished children, Darline Nunez, Robert Solano, and Cynthia Solano and by her brother, Victorino Gonzalez.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at the Nazare Memorial Home Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Monday, June 9, 2025 from 6 - 8 PM. A graveside service will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Lyndhurst on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 beginning at 10:30AM.  You may express condolences to Martha's family by using our tribite wall.
