Edward T. Nugent, Sr., 82, died on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.  Mr. Nugent was born and raised in the Bronx and lived many years in Little Neck, Long Island before moving to Lyndhurst in 1986.  He and Marianne lived in Lyndhurst for 30 years before moving to Clifton where he lived for past 10 years.  He was Manager for Dowd Trucking of Jersey City before retiring and a member of the "Brookdale Barber Association" of Bloomfield.

Edward was a genorous and loving man.  He loved his wife, family and adored his grandchildren, enjoying the times they spent together.  His nature led him to volunteer in places he felt could make a difference, equally sharing his time at the TSA of Newark Airport, EZ Ride shuttle services of Wood Ridge which offers rides locally for Seniors, and Literacy Volunteers of America. His acts of kindness and genorosity will be missed by all he came to know. Edward is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Marianne (nee D'Agostino), by his loving sons, Edward T. Nugent, Jr., Jaime Nugent and his wife, Patricia and Christopher Nugent and his wife, Laura, by his stepdaughter, Jessica Perone and her husband, Jeremy Mayes and stepson, Christopher Perone and his husband, Tony Golden, by his cherished grandchildren, Emily, Liam, Teddy, Colleen, Erin, Stephen, Ever and Marley, and by many nieces and nephews.

Edward's cremation was private and under the direction of the Nazare Memorial Home Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ. A memorial service honoring Edward's life will be planned at a later date.  You may express condolences to his family by using our tribute wall.
