Judy Tunnell (nee Narozna), 62, died peacefully on Saturday, September 27, 2025, with her loving family by her side.  Judy was well known for being the kind and caring heart of the family.  She was always there to lend a helping hand or talk on the phone (which she loved so much). Judy began work as legal Secretary at Cahill Gordon & Reidell.  She later transitioned to Hudson Catholic High School as the Attendance Secretary, and once her children began school, she found her heart as a Paraprofessional in the Lyndhurst School District for 27 years, having retired just this past June.  She also taught CCD at Mount Carmel.  Judy enjoyed spending time with her family vacationing to Lake Geogre, Disney World, Aruba, Lancaster and frequent trips to the Jersey Shore. One of her favorite past times was sitting in the sun and enjoying the beach with a book, always in her hand, ready to read.  She also enjoyed her sweets with a cup of tea.  Judy never missed her monthly dinners and get togethers with her dear friends and had a special place in her heart for her furry puppy friends, Hope and Tate.  Anyone who knew Judy knew she always had a smile on her face and knew just how to make a difference in people's lives.  Although heartbroken that our beautiful Judy has left us so suddenly, we will always remember her as the kind and loving soul that watched over all of us during her path of life.  We will miss her deeply.

Judy is predeceased by her parents, Helen and Frank Narozny and mother and father-in-law, Carol and Russell Tunnell, brother-in-law, Robert Tunnell, and many other loved ones.  Judy is survived by her beloved husband of 38 years, Russell Tunnell, by her loving children, Christopher and Laura Tunnell, by her sisters, Joan Gaedt and Elaine Corisedo & her husband, Albert, by her sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Christine Coons (Chester), Richard Tunnell (Robyn), and Stephen Tunnell (Maureen).  She is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and dear friends.       

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at Nazare Memorial Home Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 from 4 - 8 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at 10AM.  Funeral Service begins at 11AM.  Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.  You may express condoences by using our tribute wall.
