Marie Pesaro, 90, of Carlstadt, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025.  Marie was born on March 24, 1935, the fourth born ot Dominic and Minnie (nee Luongo) Saggio.  Marie worked at Becton Dickinson where she met her husband, Michael and they married in 1960.  Marie and her husband settled in Carlstadt where they raised their family.  Marie became a stay at home wife and mom.  As her family settled and grew, she reentered the workforce for 10 years to later retire to care for her husband and family.  Marie enjoyed cooking and working around the house.  

Marie is predeceased by her beloved husband, Michael Pesaro in 1994, by her parents, brothers, Joey and Frank Saggio, and her sista, Mildred Paterno.  She is survived by her daughter, Michele DeRosa and her husband Jesse, daughter, JoAnn Smith and her husband, Michael, and her grandson, Jason.  Marie was a great mom, grandmother, and friend, always smiling and happy, especially while spending time with her family.  She was the sunshine of our lives!

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 from 9:30 - 11 AM.  A funeral service will begin at 11 AM.  Interment, St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi.  You may express your condolences to Marie's family by using our tribute wall.
