Sonny was my only first cousin left on my father's side. He was truly a great man. He loved my parents, and I am grateful for that. Please accept my sincere condolences Marianne, Vinnie and Mark. I am sorry that I only discovered this news now, otherwise I could have expressed my sympathy personally. My family and I are blessed in knowing and having been included in sharing in the lives and events of the Bellizzi family for decades. Mr. B, the father of my dear friend Marianne, always welcomed us with open arms. We, and especially I, will miss him dearly, but his memory lives on in his children and grandchildren. Vinny was more than just a neighbor, he was a pillar of wisdom, a warm embrace and a true gentleman. The impact on all those he met speaks volumes of the man he was. Living next to him and getting to know him has been our privilege. Our time spent together may have been brief, but it was special and something I will cherish always. He was the first one to welcome us to the neighborhood and made us feel at home. I will miss our coffee and icecream chats during the summer where he would reminisce on his time served in the marines and the beautiful memories he made in his home with his loving family. Vinny was a man of class and honor. He loved his family and his country above all and earned the respect and admiration of all those fortunate enough to cross his path. My heart goes out to his dedicated family during this truly tragic time. He will be deeply missed by all.

Dearest Vinny,
Im so sad to say goodbye but am so grateful we had the chance to reconnect after a very long time. You always held a kind smile, caring words, humor & laughter but most of all bravery honor & faithfulness in whatever you did & love for everyone you knew.
You were such a dedicated man to many.
You shared a special friendship with my Dad from when you were both such young boys..
you were like family to us.
I will cherish not only the memories of the laughter around the table, reminiscing the fun times you had on the jobs, but also the impression you left on me as a very young girl ..what a loyal friend you were to my family esp when they needed you most.
You were a show up type of friend without even asking.. On behalf of my Dad, your old friend Tommy Mazza & My family, Thank you Vinny for many beautiful memories.
May you now all rest in peace together Vinny with your bride in paradise & continue to shine down on us. I will truly miss you.
