Caterina Brizzi Berlingeri, 96, died peacefully on Sunday, February 22, 2026, surrounded by her children.  Caterina was born and raised in San Martino, Calabria.  She met her future husband, Joseph, while he was vacationing in Calabria. They married and returned to his hometown of Bayonne, NJ.,  then moved  to Lyndhurst , where they spent nearly 70 years together.  These past 2 years, Caterina lived in Manchester to be closer to her children.  Caterina was a homemaker, she cared and nurtured her children and grandchildren and was able to experience the joy of having great grandchildren.   Like many women of her time, she dedicated her life to her family and her love continues to live in our hearts forever.  Caterina, simply was loved by everyone who met her.  She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 71 years, Joseph Berlingeri .  She is survived by her loving children, Marie Berlingeri-Brogley  and Frank Berlingeri, by her dear grandchildren, Jeanine Sapone (Joseph), John Tonachio (Janine) and Amanda Brogley and by her cherished great-grandchildren, Isabella and Joseph Sapone and Logan and Leanna Tonachio.
