John J. Verdone of Jersey City, passed away suddenly on March 4, 2026, at the age of 63. Beloved son of the late Joseph and Rosemary (nee Lofaro) Verdone. Dear brother of Anthony (Theresa) Verdone. Devoted uncle of Chris Beretta. Nephew of Patricia (Al) Gioiosa, Velia (the late Guido) Gazarri, Alda (the late Nick) Alosco and Linda (Croce) Randazzo. 

John was a lifelong resident of Jersey City. He worked as a corporate travel consultant and was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians of Hudson County. He liked traveling and cooking. John enjoyed people and socializing with family and friends. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing, Monday March 9, 2026, from 4 to 8 PM at Nazare Memorial Home, 403 Ridge Rd., Lyndhurst, NJ 07071 and to his Funeral Mass, Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 11 AM at Holy Rosary Church, 344 6th St., Jersey City, NJ 07302. Interment is private.
