Phyllis Ascione (nee Petrillo), 94, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, May 3, 2026.  Phyllis was born and raised in Lyndhurst, living most of her life in town, spending the past 20 years in Toms River.  Phyllis was a beautician and co-owner with her friend, Ceil  of Phase 1 Beauty Parlor, which was located on the corner of Valley Brook and Green Avenue for many years.  Phyllis enjoyed her work at the salon and her clientelle soon became like family to her.  Outside of work, Phyllis loved her family and cared deeply for her children and grandchildren and she felt blessed to have great-grandchildren.  We will miss her deeplyand find comfort that she is at rest and reunited with her husband and daughter.  She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Salvatore Ascione in August 1991 and her daughter,  Michelle Ascione in September 2017.  Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Carol Ascione, her son, Chuck Ascione & his wife, Cathy, by her dear grandchildren, Alana Ascione and Dana Byrne (Michael), and two great grandchildren, Sophia and Brandon.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at 10 AM.  Funeral Service begins at 11 AM.  Interment to follow, Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst.  You may express condolences to Phyllis's family by using our tribute wall.
