Valentine, Elizabeth Ann, 79, a lifelong resident of Lyndhurst, died peacefully on Sunday, May 31, 2026. Elizabeth “Liz” spent her life surrounded by a lifetime of close friends and family, whose presence remained a constant source of laughter and love. Liz is predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, James Guy Valentine, Sr., her parents, Eleanor (nee Episcopia) and Michael J. Lotito, Sr., as well as her brother, Anthony Lotito and sister, Anita Louise Carbone, Sr. Liz is survived by her children, James Guy Jr. and wife Bozena “Bo”, Michael and his wife Tammy, and Christina “Tina” and her husband Brian Leary, and her 3 grandchildren, whom she adored, Christopher James, Ian William, and Ella Elizabeth. She is also survived by her brother, Michael J. Lotito, Jr. and many nieces, nephews, and in laws.

Liz worked as a market research representative for 25 years and retired in 2010. She served as the president of the Bergen County Chapter for the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA), where she supported countless individuals. For many years, Liz was also a dedicated advocate and walk leader for the Lupus Research Alliance, and an active percussionist in the spirit masses at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial mass at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 40 Spring Street, Lodi, New Jersey on Monday, June 8th at 10AM.  Kindly arrive at church 9:45AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lupus Research Alliance by visiting Lupus Research Alliance - Lupus Treatment Options, or the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) by visiting National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).  Private cremation is under the direction of Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ. You may express condolences to Liz’s family by using the tribute wall.
