Agnes Paluzzi, (nee Zeoli), 95, died at home on Saturday, June 6, 2026.  Agnes was born and raised in Lyndhurst and has lived her entire life in town. She married her love, John Paluzzi, and they began their life together.  He died suddenly at the age of 65, which left Agnes to continue for her children and herself.  Her faith as a devout Catholic carried her and she became very involved in the parish life of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. She was past president and member of the Rosary Society, in her younger years, taught CCD, and was named "Woman of the Year" in the parish. 

Agnes, along with many of her fellow parishioners, were the embodiment of lay people in the Church.  From bingo to the annual Mt. Carmel Feasts, she was always present, ready to take part.  She retired as parish office secretary in 2016.  She loved her children and grandchildren and treasured the annual family vacations spent at Wildwood Beach that crossed 3 generations.  Cooking, reading, and shopping were just some of the things that brought her happiness, but what brought her endless joy was being "Nanny" and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Agnes’ smile and sassy presence will be missed deeply.  Agnes was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Paluzzi in 1993.  She is survived by her loving daughter, Sharon Quinn & her husband, Frank and Larry Paluzzi, by her dear grandchildren, Kevin Quinn, Megan Quinn and her husband, Kris, and by her great-grandchildren, Sarah and Alexandra.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and her Mount Carmel “Family."

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Monday, June 8, 2026, from 3 - 7 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 9 AM, then to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Lyndhurst, where at 10 AM a funeral mass will be offered.  Interment to follow, Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst.  You may express condolences to  Agnes' family by using our tribute wall.
