Edward J. Scanlon, 88, died on Monday, June 22, 2026.  He was born and raised in Jersey City.  Edward and his family moved into Lyndhurst in 1974 where he has been a resident ever since.  He was a custodian for the Lyndhurst Parks and Recreation Department for over 20 years, retiring in 2020.  Edward was a husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed deeply by his family.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Domenica (nee Stavalo) Scanlon, by his daughters, Patricia Scanlon & her husband, Mike, and Nancy Larsen & her husband, Jonathan, and by his grandchildren, Michael Alberto and Jonathan and Rosie Larsen.

Cremation is private and under the direction of Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ.  You may express your condolences to Edward's family by using our tribute wall.
