Francis E. Landwehrle, 87, died on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.  Francis was a resident of Hudson County throughout his life.  Born in Weehawken, he was raised in North Bergen and lived in Union City for the past 60 years.  He worked in shipping and receiving for Dura Test of North Bergen for many years before he retired.  Francis was a kind and compassionate soul who had a beautiful voice.  He enjoyed performing and singing to bring a smile to people's faces and lighten their hearts through his song.  He was always helping others, people he knew and loved, but also, the stranger.  He would often give comfort and shelter to those in his neighborhood who were in need.  The local police and fire department enjoyed Francis's impromtu serenades through town. He was a faith filled man who lived his faith out by serving others.  His children find comfort in knowing he sings with the choirs of heaven.  Francis was predeceased by his son, Anthony Landwehrle.  He is survived by his beloved children, Elsa Burgos and Vincent P. Landwehrle, by his devoted sister, Sister Florence Landwehrle, MPF, by his dear grandchildren, Shaina C. Garcia, Kayla V. Garcia,  and Ava G. Burgos and by his son in law, Frank J. Burgos.     

Cremation was private and under the direction of the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ. You may express condolences to Francis's family by using our tribute wall.
