Christine A. Restaino, 69, died on Thursday, March 12, 2026.  Christine was born in Newark, raised in Lyndhurst, and lived most of her life in New York City.  A proud graduate of Lyndhurst High School, Christine went on to receive her degree in Architecture from Cooper Union School of Architecture in New York City.  A founding principal of CR + DZ Architecture + Interior Design, headquartered in New York City, she designed unique residential and commercial projects located worldwide.  The firm was established by Ms. Restaino in 1986.  Her professional commitment to her work could be best summed up by her mission statement of her firm, “To create sensitive and functional environments of timeless beauty through the practice of Architecture and Interior design with respect for the earth’s resources."

Christine was predeceased by her parents, Patsy F. and Christina (nee Spina) Restaino, and her siblings, Paul Restaino, JoAnn Germann, Elaine Sculley and her brother-in-law, Al Germann.  She is survived by her brother, Patrick Restaino & his wife, Joyce, by her sister-in-law, Karen Restaino, brother-in-law, Andrew Sculley, and many nieces, nephews, friends and associates in Manhattan, as well as New Jersey.  

Funeral arrangements are private and under the direction of Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, New Jersey.  Donations may be made in Christine’s memory to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Social Concerns Committee, 197 Kingsland Avenue, Lyndhurst, New Jersey 07071.
