Carl Vincent Carbone Jr. passed peacefully at home on August 23, 2026.  He was born in the Marion section of Jersey City and moved to Lyndhurst in 1951 at age 3. 

He graduated from Lyndhurst High School in 1966, when a mutual friend set him up on a date with Anita Louise Lotito from town.  Their love story began and they married in 1970.  Carl later earned his master plumber license and went on to establish a successful plumbing business, Carl V. Carbone Jr. Plumbing & Heating, Inc.   His customers were more like family and friends; he was loved by everyone who knew him. 

Besides family, he was known for his love of coffee, antique cars, his irreverent sense of humor, his generosity to his grandkids, his incredible memory of people, names & places, and countless other quirky & fun characteristics.  He enjoyed hanging out in his garage & working on custom cars.  The garage is dark now, but Carl’s light and laughter remain in our hearts forever.   He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 53 years, Anita Louise (nee Lotito), his parents Carl V. Sr. and Lucy (nee Filidoro), his brother Frank, and his sisters, Marie, Patsyann and Carol.  He is survived by his four loving children, Carl and his wife Ellen, Michael and his wife Danielle, Anita Jr. and her husband, the late, John Anthony (2021), and Maria A. Carbone and her love, Steven Williams, by his seven granddaughters, whom he loved wholeheartedly, Fiona and her husband, Mike, Ivy, Kiana, Bella, Keira, Freya, and Shyla.  By his dear sisters, Vera Grecco and her husband, Ralph and  Lucy Erminio and her husband, Vincent.   Also survived by many wonderful nieces, nephews, family and friends and his loyal "guys", Rob, Rocco, Mike, Anthony and Cesar of Carbone Plumbing.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 2 - 8 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 9 AM where the funeral service will begin at 10 AM.  Interment to follow, Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst.  In lieu of flowers or gifts, please consider a donation to the Lyndhurst Public Library, 355 Valley Brook Avenue, Lyndhurst, NJ 07071.   You may express condolences to Carl's family by using our tribute wall.
