Obituary of Phyllis Gagliardi

Gagliardi, Phyllis (nee Lombardi) 87, died on Tuesday, March 20, 2012. Mrs. Gagliardi was born in Lyndhurst and was a life long resident. Phyllis was a graduate of Hackensack School of Nursing in 1946. She served as a Cadet Nurse at Fort Dix, New Jersey. As the Town Nurse of Lyndhurst, she served in Sacred Heart School and the Lyndhurst Public Health Department for over 20 years, retiring in 1989. Phyllis is predeceased by her beloved husband, John E. Gagliardi in 1994 and by her son, John A. Gagliardi in 1983. She is survived by her loving children, Patrice Wilson of Lyndhurst and Gary Gagliardi & his wife, Dorothy of Hasbrouck Heights, by her dear grandchildren, Daniel, Michael, Gary, Erica and John, by her sister, Gloria Petty and by many loving nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral from the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Friday, March 23, 2012 at 9AM then to Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst where at 10AM a Funeral Mass will be offered. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visiting hours Thursday 2-4 & 7-9PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Food For The Poor Inc., P.O. Box 979004, Coconut Creek, FL 33097-9004
