Russell, Helen M. (nee Sullivan) 82, of Lyndhurst, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2012. Mrs. Russell was born and raised in Jersey City and has been a resident of Lyndhurst since 1960. She was a Homemaker. She was very active in many of the civic and social groups of Lyndhurst. Helen is predeceased by her beloved husband, John M. Russell in 1994. She is survived by her devoted mother, Anna Sullivan, her loving children, William M. Russell & his wife, Sharon and Theresa Gencarelli, by her five dear grandchildren, William Russell & his wife, Petra, Jeffrey Russell, Anthony Gencarelli, Louis Gencarelli & his wife, Cynthia and Jeanine Kang & her husband, David, by her eight great grandchildren, Ella, Luigi, Anthony, Michael, Alana, DJ, William and Brielle, by her sister, Anne Singleton and brothers, William, George and Robert Sullivan. Helen will be missed by all who knew her. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral on Friday, April 6, 2012 at Nazare Memorial Home Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst for 9AM then to Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst where at 10AM a Liturgy of the Word Service will be held. Entombment Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington. Visiting hours Thursday 2-4 & 7-9PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: American Cancer Society, 20 Mercer Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601.
