Coppola, Alphonse J., 93, died on Tuesday, July 2, 2012. Mr. Coppola was born in Hoboken, and has been a resident of Lyndhurst for the past 30 years. He was a WW II 28th Infantry Army Veteran serving from 1941 to 1945and recipient of The Purple Heart. Alphonse was a self employed Carpenter. He is survived by his sisters, Lucy Barbero of North Arlington and Constance Lombardi of Secaucus and by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral from the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc. 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Friday, July 6, 2012 at 9AM then to Sacred Heart Church where at 10 AM a Funeral Mass will be offered. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to NJ Veterans Home at Paramus, 1 Veterans Way, Paramus, New Jersey 07652.
