Nieves Yu Garbarini, 83, of Lyndhurst, died on Tuesday, January 31, 2023. Mrs. Garbarini was born in Magdalena, Laguna, Philippines and moved to the United States in 1970 where she has been a resident of Lyndhurst for the past 50 years.  She enjoyed a career as a Registered Dietitian for over 50 years, working most recently at the Atrium at Wayne, retiring in 2020.  Nieves was predeceased by her beloved husband of 36 years, Raymond Garbarini in 2009 and is survived by their loving daughter, Nicole Garbarini and her husband, Sean Stevenson and by her dear brother, Francisco Tan Yu.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Sunday, February 5, 2023 from 2 - 6 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Monday, February 6 at 9 AM then to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Lyndhurst where at 10 AM a funeral mass will be offered.  Interment, Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst. Please express condolences to Nieves' family by using our tribute wall.
