Monaco, William V. of Lyndhurst on Wednesday November 1, 2006 with his children by his side; Beloved father of Bill & his wife, Mandy, Kenneth & his wife, Lori, and Laura Monaco; Loving grandfather of Jonathan, Alison, Julia, Victoria, Mary, Evan, Matthew, and Ryan. He was born in and life-long resident of Lyndhurst;Died Wednesday November 1, 2006 in Meadow Lakes Healthcare Center, Hightstown, NJ. William was a retired Detective for the Bergen County Sheriff�s Department, Hackensack, for 25 years, retiring in 1992. He was an Army Veteran who served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the undefeated 1949 Lyndhurst Football Team and The Hall of Fame, both of Lyndhurst High School. He was a life-long parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst where he served as an Usher Saturday night 5PM Masses. He was a member of the St. Padre Pio Society at Holy Face Monastery, Clifton. He was a Life Member of the NJ State PBA. He was predeceased by his son, William Peter, and his brothers and sister, Cono, Frank, Anthony, and Rose. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Saturday November 4, 2006 at 9 AM then to Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst where at 10 AM a Funeral Mass will be offered. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visiting hours Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Meadow Lakes Comfort Care Fund, Attn.
