Obituary of Mary Paterno

Paterno, Mary (nee Murphy), 74, of Lyndhurst on Saturday April 28, 2007. Born in Newark, NJ and has been a resident since of Lyndhurst since 1949. She has been a Lyndhurst Police School Crossing Guard for 38 years, retiring in 2006. She was a member and past president of The Police Wives Association and a volunteer for Sacred Heart Track Program, both of Lyndhurst. She was predeceased by her husband, the late Frank L. Paterno (1993). Beloved mother of Mary Ellen Attiya, Frank, and Jack Paterno. Loving grandmother of Ryan Attiya, Rachel Anne and Diana Paterno. Sister of Theresa Barrows, Joann Vehock, James and Frank Murphy. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Wednesday May 2, 2007 at 9 AM then to Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst where at 10 AM a Funeral Mass will be offered. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visiting hours Monday 7-9 PM and Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
