Woertz, George F. Jr. �Tex�, 71 on Thursday August 09, 2007. Mr. Woertz was born in Houston, Texas and has lived in Lyndhurst for most of his life. He played All State Football for Lyndhurst in 1954. He was an Army Veteran during peace time. Mr. Woertz was a plumber by trade, and was the owner/operator of Goerge Woertz Plumbing, Lyndhurst from 1959 until 2005 when he retired. He was a member of the Lyndhurst Volunteer Fire Department , Truck Co #1 and Hose Co. #2 from 1959 until he retired in 1990. He was Fire Chief in 1977. Loving father of Kevin Woertz of Glen Ridge, Robert Woertz of Bloomfield and Gregory Woertz of California. Dear brother of John M. Woertz of Coconut Creek, Fl. and Victoria A. Woertz of Glen Ridge. Family and Friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc. 403 Ridge Road on Sunday, August 12, 2007 at 8PM. Visiting Sunday 2-4 & 7-9PM. Cremation private. me.com
