Obituary of Joseph Settembrino

Settembrino, Joseph, 97, passed peacefully at home with his family at his bedside. Mr. Settembrino was born in New York City and has been a resident of Lyndhurst for 55 years. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII. He worked as a Custodian for the Lyndhurst Board of Education for many years, retiring in 1976. He was a member of the VFW #3549 and the B.P.O Elks #1505, both of Lyndhurst. He also was a member of Sacred Heart Seniors and Mount Carmel Seniors of Lyndhurst. Joseph is the beloved husband of the late Rose (nee Palumbo) Settembrino (1975). Joseph is survived by his children, Teresa Sorkin & her husband, Jeffrey of Lyndhurst, Henry Settembrino of North Carolina, Joseph Settembrino of Lyndhurst, two granddaughters, three great-grandchildren and his caregiver, Alice Rylick. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral from the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Monday December 10, 2007 at 9AM then to Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst where at 10AM a Funeral Mass will be offered. Interment Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst. Visiting hours Sunday 2-6PM.
