Obituary of Joseph Gaffney

Gaffney, Joseph, 70, of Lyndhurst died on Sunday December 9, 2007. Mr. Gaffney was born in Passaic and had been a life long resident of Lyndhurst. He was an Electrical Engineer for Hazeltine Company, Great Neck, NY for many years, retiring in 1975. He was a member of The Institute of Electric and Electronic Engineers, Inc. He was predeceased by his parents, the late Michael (1981) and Katherine (nee Gross) Gaffney (2000) and his sister, the late Katherine Whitman (1988). Joseph is survived by his brother in law, Edward Whitman of Maryland, his niece, Leslie Balick of Florida, and nephews, Robert Whitman of Vienna and Michael Whitman of Maryland. He is also survived by three great nephews and cousins, Doris Ludwig of Lyndhurst Florence & Claire Derby of Lyndhurst, Edwin Gross of Englewood, and Marie Peacock of Florida. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral from the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Wednesday December 12, 2007 at 9AM then to Sacred Heart RC Church, Lyndhurst where at 10AM a Funeral Mass will be offered. Interment Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst. Visiting hours Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
