Obituary of Dominick Manente

Manente, Dominick Sr., 94, of Lyndhurst died on Wednesday August 6, 2008. Mr. Manente was born in Bardi, Italy, came to Hoboken, NJ in 1930, and has been a resident of Lyndhurst since 1954. He was Tailor & Owner of MCM Company for over 30 years and then Ariana, Inc., both of Hoboken retiring in 1998. He was an avid Ballroom Dancer who won many trophies and participated in The Harvestmoon Ball in New York City. Dominick was predeceased by his beloved wife, Rose Ida (nee Finzi) in 2006 and his daughter, Catherine Sprague in 2001. He is survived by his loving children, Rose Ann Banom of North Arlington, Dominick Manente, Jr. of Lyndhurst, Nicholas Manente of Middletown, and Laura Wendling of Belleville as well as nine caring grandchildren and six dear great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Saturday August 9, 2008 at 9 AM then to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visiting hours Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
