Obituary of Joseph F. Vassallo

Vassallo, Joseph F., 81, of Brick Twp. died on Tuesday June 2, 2009. Mr. Vassallo was born and raised in Hoboken, lived in Ridgefield for 30 years and has been a resident of Brick Twp. since 1990. He was a Navy Veteran serving 1945- 1948. He was a Police Officer of Hoboken for 19 � years and then for Ridgefield for 7 � years, retiring as Lieutentant in 1978. He then worked for John Hancock Insurance for over 5 years. He also served as Councilman for Ridgefield for 3 year term. Joseph was beloved Husband of Roslyn G. (nee Basile) Vassallo. Loving Father of Joseph F. Vassallo, Jr. of Weehawkin, Janice Vassallo of MD, Judy DiCroce of Oceanside, NY and the late Joyce Vassallo (2009). Brother of Lana Pasquale of Secaucus, Mary Orsini of Bayonne, and the late Anna Siano and Frank Vassallo. Dear grandfather of six grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service held at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Friday June 5, 2009 at 10 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visiting hours Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
