Obituary of Sophie Kozar

Kozar, Sophie (nee Maranski), 85, of Budd Lake, formerly of Lyndhurst, died on Tuesday September 8, 2009. Mrs Kozar was born and raised in Jersey City, lived in Lyndhurst for 20 years and has been a resident of Budd Lake for the past 16 years. She was an Assembly line worker for Williams Grant & Sons, Edison for 40 years, retiring in 1989. She was a member of the Mount Olive Seniors. Sophie was predeceased by her beloved husband, the late Michael Kozar in 1970. She is survived by her four loving children, Michael Kozar & his wife, Lorraine of Jersey City, Carol Dluzniewski & her husband, William of Flanders, Susan Serpico & her husband, Michael of Ridgewood and Robert Kozar & his wife, Christine of Midland Park, by her nine caring grandchildren, six dear great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral from Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Saturday September 12, 2009 at 9 AM then to Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst where at 10 AM a Funeral Mass will be offered. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visiting hours Friday 2-4 & 7-9PM.
