Polito Sr., Angelo J. 80 of Lyndhurst on November 7, 2009. Mr. Polito was born in Brooklyn, NY, raised in Jersey City coming to Lyndhurst where he was a resident since 1974. He was a Truck Driver for McLean Trucking Co., So. Kearny for many years, retiring in 1991. He was an Army Veteran serving in the Korean War from 1949 to 1953. He was a member and Past Commander of the Amvets Post # 20, Lyndhurst. Angelo was predeceased by his grandson the late James Polito, Jr., and a sister the late Josephine Turlo. Mr. Polito is survived by his beloved wife Rita R. McCann, Loving Father of James F. Polito, Sr., Michael T. Polito , Sr., and Angelo J. Polito, Jr. His grandchildren, Dana, Michael, Michelle, Lisa, Dina and Michael Polito, Jr. Brother of James Polito and MaryAnn Prestigiacomo. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral from the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Thursday, October 12, 2009 at 8:30 am then to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Lyndhurst where at 9:30 am a Funeral Mass will be offered. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. Visiting hours Tuesday 7-9 pm and Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
