Obituary of Rita V. Goffredo

Goffredo, Rita V., 98, died on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Jersey City, graduated from North Arlington High School, where she lived most of her life.  Rita was Co-Owner of Meloro Monuments of North Arlington for many years.  After she retired, Rita took great joy in volunteering to read to young children at North Arlington Public Library. Rita is predeceased by her sisters and brothers, Mary Filippone, Tina, Sam, Thomas and Rudy Goffredo.  She is survived by her sisters in law, Carol Goffredo and Tanny Goffredo. Aunt Rita was loved and will be missed dearly by her many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and her caregiver, Natalia.          

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 9:30AM-10:45AM.  Then to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington where at 11AM a Funeral Mass will be offered.  Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rita's memory to Cooleys Anemia Foundation, 330 7Th Avenue # 200, New York, NY 10010 or St. Joseph's School for the Blind, 761 Summit Avenue, Jersey City, New Jersey 07307.
