Obituary of Raymond J. Fillweber

Fillweber, Raymond J., 76, of Nanuet, NY died on Thursday, March 29, 2018.  Mr. Fillweber was born in Jersey City and lived in Sayreville for 7 years before moving to Nanuet where he was a resident for over 30 years.  Raymond was an executive for Lionel Corp. of Manhattan for 10 years.  He chose to start his own company in the sheet metal industry in Newark where he worked for 10 years.  In later years, he worked in financial planning and security.  Ray was an avid golfer, loved traveling, spending time with his family and friends, and enjoying his cosmos.  He is survived by his parents, Raymond and the late Genevieve Fillweber (nee Doherty), by his loving daughter, Suzanne Tessalone and her husband, Michael, and by his longtime companion, Karen Ladolcetta.  He is also survived by his sisters and brothers, Dorette Zeil, Lynne Biss, Janice Mizell, and Gary and Brian Fillweber. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 4 - 8 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 4 at 9 AM then to Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst where at 10 AM a funeral mass will be offered.  Private Cremation.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Raymond's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or online at stjude.org.
