You have my deepest condolences. I worked with George at JPMorgan in New York and Delaware. I was shock when I heard George had gone home. He was one heck of a man. George would always joke around telling crazy jokes. He was the best dresser in Money Transfer (IMO).
If you had a question about stocks everyone knew go-to George. I've shared some of my memories but I'm quite sure you have even more.

I learned of George's illness only yesterday and his passing so quickly comes as a bit of a shock. We have been very good friends for many years. We were collegues at JP Morgan in New York going back to the 1960's and later in Delaware in the 1990's.Our friendship went well beyond the office. In the early years we and several others would get together with our wives every year for a fun weekend at the Poconos.George and I were on the same bowling team ( we are only here for the beer ) for several years. One year we won the league championship and three or four years competed in the New York State Tournament These were more about fun weekends than bowling.I relocated to Delaware in 1983 and George came down in 1993.We would meet 2 or 3 times a month for dinner after I retired in 1995. When I think about my forty plus years at JPM What I remember most is the good people I worked with and George was one of the best.
I wish you Godspeed on you trip to heaven and if I am lucky I will meet you there some day and we can enjoy a cold beer together, --- I'm buying--- Joe

As many of you, I am finding it very hard to say goodbye to my dear friend George. These are difficult times for his family and friends. I am thankful for all the years of memories George left with us. Adriene told me last night of his passing after talking with a mutual friend. That night, I dreamed of the past and all the good memories with George.
Knowing George, I was sure he would beat whatever was thrown at him. He was resilient and deeply loved his dear niece, family and friends. Yet we are all called to come home at some point. He will be with his loved ones that have passed and I am sure Lacrecia will be making his favorite meal as she did when he came home after a long week in Delaware.
George and I met when I was a kid of 25 years when we were both on a Clearing house committee together. I was at Chase and he was at JPM. I visited his office on Broadway and met key members of his team. He had many great people with him. I would never realize we would work together at HSBC for 15 years. He had a joke for me daily, he cared about people, he made us all happy. George had a heart of gold, one of a kind. When George retired there was a huge void in the office. I was so thankful that George continued to keep in touch and we had get togethers often.
My daughter thought George was so nice. She was 10 when she met him and we would all go out for dinner each week. Adriene, Shannon, George and I always had a great time. Shannon would always steal George’s calamari portions and make her laugh. We continued this tradition till he retired, she was around 18 by then and we were kidding with him that she was his date.
George in many ways was more than a friend. I will miss him and will enjoy honoring his memory when we talk of him kindly.
Till we meet again George. I expect that we will have a blast when we next meet in Heaven and if we are reincarnated I hope you will be my brother.
