Piromalli, Joseph, 84, of Lyndhurst, died on Wednesday, May 9, 2018.  Mr. Piromalli was born in Clifton and was a lifelong resident of Lyndhurst.  Joseph was a Lyndhurst HS graduate where he received the most valuable football player award in 1953.  He went on to proudly serve in the United States Army from 1953-1955 during the Korean War and then worked as a tractor truck driver for AT&T Corporation of Basking Ridge for 20 years, retiring in 1996.  Joseph was also a member of the AmVets Post #20.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years this June, Frances Piromalli (nee Rapisardi) and their loving children, Barbara Jenkins and her husband, James, Joseph Piromalli, Jr. and his wife, Leslie, and Jill De Angelo and her husband, Billy Norton, by his cherished grandchildren, Michael, Justine, Rachel, Raymond, and Samantha, and by his dear sister, Lillian Miner. 

 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Monday, May 14, 2018 from 4 – 8  PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 15 at 9 AM where a funeral service will be held at 10 AM.  Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
