Obituary of Salvatore A. Cannizzo

Cannizzo, Salvatore A., 90, of Lyndhurst, died on Thursday, May 24, 2018.  Mr. Cannizzo was born in Passaic and was a resident of Lyndhurst for 35 years.  Salvatore was a Navy veteran and worked as a cement truck driver for Michilotti Company of Saddle Brook and then for William H. Brewster, Jr. of Fairfield for 15 years, retiring in 2013.  He was also a member of the Teamster Labor Union Local 560 of Union City.  Salvatore is survived by his beloved fiancé of 38 years, Lucy M. Moriano, by his loving daughters, LuAnn Moriano Vizzone and her husband, Gary, Gina Jinks and her husband, Ken, and Marlo Ricciardelli and her husband, Steven, by his cherished grandchildren, Alexa, Michael, Nicholas, Lola, Steven Marco, and Ciena, by his dear sister, Santa Hartmann, by his brother, the late Louis Cannizzo, and his sister-in-law, Joyce Cannizzo.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 4 – 8 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 30 at 9 AM then to Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst where at 10 AM a funeral mass will be offered.  Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Salvatore’s memory to Holy Name Medical Center Foundation, 718 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, NJ 07666.
