Obituary of John D. Sullivan

Sullivan, John D. 81, died on Sunday April 29, 2012. Mr. Sullivan was born and raised in Jersey City and has been a resident of Rutherford for the past 48 years. He was a Navy Veteran. John was an Iron Worker and member of Local #399 of Northern New Jersey and a retired Fire Captain of Engine #6, Jersey City Fire Department. He is predeceased by his brother, Joseph D. Sullivan and his sisters, Helen Schroll and Elizabeth Brennan. John is survived by his beloved wife, Dolores (nee Candia) Sullivan, by his loving children, Diana Bergantino & her former husband, John, Janice Sullivan-Cabibbo & her husband, Michael, Cindy Macey & her husband, David, John James Sullivan & his wife, Barbara, by his dear grandchildren, Jaclyn, Lindsay, John, Joseph Bergantino, Cole X. and Marcus X. Cabibbo, Allison, Juliet, Rebecca and Arthur Macey, Kelly, Colleen, and John Timothy Sullivan and by all of his loving family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral from the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 8:30AM then to St. Mary�s Church, Rutherford where at 9:30AM a Funeral Mass will be offered. Interment Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst. Visiting hours Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9PM.
