George’s family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5: 28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I am sending you a link with more information on this hope.

Dear Uncle George, you were one of a kind. Thank you for all our long chats and direction in life. I will truly miss your smile, wit and over all greatness. You were the best Uncle/Godfather a girl could have. I love you, give my mom a kiss for me and rip xxoo

Although not blood he was family because George AKA Pop-Pop as Barb and I referred to him was this incredible person whom we loved with all our hearts.
We worked together at the Jersey City Parking Authority and have kept in touch since I left a long time ago...decades. Without him actually knowing, he taught me things that have allowed me to grow into the person I am today and we will miss him very much. His love of laughter, his sense of humor and his love of family are ever present and I feel the world a colder place without him in it. A class act, a unique person that only comes along every so often. Tough as nails but as kind and loving to a fault. We will miss you beyond words but we know that you will be with Jeanie, where you so very much wanted to be all this time.
Until we meet again my old and dear friend. This simple man that I admire so much. Love ya Pop Pop. Gene and Barbara Black.
