Spina, Antoinette (nee Merrill), 88, of Lyndhurst, died on Monday, July 23, 2018.  Mrs. Spina was born in Plainfield, raised in Scotch Plains, and was a resident of Lyndhurst for over 60 years.  She was a homemaker.  Antoinette is predeceased by her son, George Spina in 1959 and by her sister, Carmella Walker.  She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Nicholas J. Spina and their loving children, Mark and his wife, Suzanne, Thomas and his wife, Carol, and Joseph Spina, and by her cherished grandchildren, James, Audrey, Sean, Nicholas, Erica, Corey, and Tabitha Spina, and by her dear brothers, Frank Merrill and his wife, Cindy and Thomas Merrill and his wife, Barbara.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Thursday, July 26, 2018 from 4 – 8 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Friday, July 27 at 10 AM then to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Lyndhurst where at 11 AM a Funeral Mass will be offered.  Interment, St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Lyndhurst.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Antoinette’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online at stjude.org.
