Obituary of William R. Yates

Yates, William, 57 of Ogdensburg, NJ, died suddenly on Sunday, July 29th 2018.  Bill was born and raised in North Arlington, resided in Carlstadt for 10 years and Ogdensburg for the last 17 years.  Bill worked as an Auto Mechanic, Plumber and Car Repairman for PATH Railroad, before retiring in July 2016.  He enjoyed camping, boating, playing with his Lionel trains, and driving in his ‘34 Ford Coupe, but most of all just being with his wife, children and dogs.   Bill is survived by his loving wife, Helen F. (nee Cook), his son, William and his three daughters, Kim, Kelly and Kaitlyn, by his parents Bob and Anne (Gallagher) Yates, his sister, Robin Vanderlinda and her husband Steve, brother Bob Yates and wife, Lynn.  Also survived by his mother-in-law,  Helen Cook, brother-in-laws,  Joe and John Cook, sister-in-law, Janet Di Gavero and her husband Pete, along with many nieces and nephews.  

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend the visitation held at the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Friday, August 3, 2018 from 3 to 7PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 10:30AM, then to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington, where at 11:30AM a Funeral Mass will be offered.  Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
