Kearns, Bernard M., 87, of North Arlington, died on Monday, August 27, 2018.  Mr. Kearns was born and raised in Jersey City and was a resident of North Arlington since 1965.  Bernard proudly served in the United States Army as an Army Paratrooper with the 187th Airborne during the Korean War and worked as a detective for the Jersey City Police Department for 30 years, retiring in 1989.  He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Angelina  nee Pecorelli in 2009 and his brother Eugene Kearns and survived by his loving children, Robert Kearns, Brian Kearns and his wife, Joyce, Linda Constantino and her husband, Anthony, and Susan Cunningham and her husband, Mark, by his cherished grandchildren, Danielle, Breanna, and Brian Kearns, Jr., Mark and Brandon Cunningham, Robert and Jeffrey Kearns, and Anthony and Angela Constantino, by his 2 great grandchildren, Robert and Salvatore Kearns, by his sister Dorothy Hayden, and by his sister-in-law Mary Kearns  and many nieces and nephews.  

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Monday, September 3, 2018 from 2 - 6 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 4 at 9 AM then to Our Lady of Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington where at 10 AM a funeral mass will be offered.  Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
