Obituary of Frances Giangeruso

Giangeruso, Frances “Babe”, 92 , of Lyndhurst passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2018.  Frances was born in Lyndhurst on November 8, 1925 to Carmine and Carmella (Cofone) Viteritto at 240 Sanford Ave.  She was a life-long Lyndhurst resident.  She was a master seamstress working for Ornstein Fashions, retiring in 1985. Later she was employed by Convestrix, Lyndhurst where she worked for many years.  Frances was an active parishioner at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Lyndhurst.  She was a member of the Mount Carmel Seniors and AARP #4866.  She was predeceased by her beloved husband George in 1985, her parents, Carmine (1987), and Carmella (1971), her brother Nunzie (2012) and her sisters Jennie (2015), Sarah (1980), and Marie (2015).  She is survived by her four sons and their families: George and Diane (Vaccaro), Mayor Robert and Laura Kopp, Carmine and Denise (Berry), and David; her  grandchildren: Bobby, Shawn and Laura, George and Maria, Lisa and Anthony, Carmine and Paula, Jill, and Fallon and Scott, and her ten great-grandchildren: Olivia, Gavin, Carina, Brandon, Samantha, Rocco, Jalen, Enrico, Delaney, and Brady.  Babe was survived by many nephews, nieces, great-nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at Nazare Memorial Home Inc. 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Sunday, November 4, 2018 from 1 PM until 7 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Monday, November 5, 2018 at 10 AM then to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Lyndhurst where at 11 AM a Funeral Mass will be offered.  Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
