Was just wool-gathering about my life. Thought about my time in the army and remembered Ed. I googled him, only to learn that he had passed three days earlier!
Ed and I knew one another as friends in E Co., 1st Engineer Bn., Ft. Riley, KS, about 1973-4. I didn't get out of the army until 76. When Ed got out, we exchanged a couple of letters, but then lost touch.
Sad to hear of his passing. My condolences to family, and friends of more recent vintage.
