Obituary of Anthony Romano

Romano. Anthony G “Tony”,88, died on Monday, January 7, 2019.  Mr. Romano was born in North Bergen and has been a resident of Lyndhurst for over 55 years. He was a Marine Corp. Veteran of Korean War (1951-1953).  Anthony was the  owner of A&A Auto Shop of Union City & West New York for over 45 years, he was known as a “legend” in custom work.  His hobby was riding horses and was part the “pony express” ride that took place in 1972. 

Anthony is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, this November, Marilynn F. (nee Wauters), by his loving daughters, Lisa Romano Slamiak & her husband, Joseph, Donna Leston & her husband, Daniel and Marilynn Romano, by his dear grandchildren, Jennifer Picillo & her husband, Bill and Anthony Caruso, by his great granddaughters, Olivia & Chloe and his sister, Lucille Scerbo.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 4 to 8PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 10AM. Then to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Lyndhurst where at 11AM a funeral mass will be offered.  Entombment Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington.
