Phyllis’s family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5:28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I am sending you a link with more information on this hope.

Mrs T wasn’t just the mother of one of my closest friends growing up but she also helped mold who I am. From introducing me to my first iced coffee to girl trips to the mall with Kaylin and movie dates .... she was as much a best friend as Kaylin. Even through the years after middle school had ended she was always a friendly face who I loved to see around. I could also always count on encouragement from her about my family and being a young mother. She’s someone who I will never forget and I will think of and talk to all the time in my heart.

Every part of me wished to wake up from this terrible dream, call you for your birthday and plan on when the next time I would see you would be so we could celebrate with French martinis. And knowing you, without a doubt, you’d be at Nanny and Poppy’s this Saturday, shopping with Nan during the day, and having “dinner” at 4pm. Relentlessly teasing Poppy about any and everything, telling funny stories about work, asking me about every single detail in my life possible (yes, every. single. detail. possible), teasing Nanny and I about how similar we are (Quatararo twins), but overall just making everyone around you smile and laugh.
I think that is one of the things I’ll miss the most, your ability to make everyone around you feel happy and loved, feel cared about, feel like they were special. Somehow you became the mom of everyone you knew, you always knew the right thing to say, you made sure everything and everyone was taken care of and you never put yourself first, a truly selfless person. And with the lives you’ve saved, now you are a hero.
Even on your birthday, YOU were the one giving me a gift...sending me signs that you were with me today. Please keep sending me signs, I’ll never stop looking. While I would much rather celebrate with you here, I know you have a kickass seat from heaven with some amazing company and knowing that crowd, I’m sure they are making the drinks strong too!! I hope they are blasting “pump up the jam” for you!
I’ll never stop missing you, I’ll never stop loving you. You will forever be in my heart Aunt Phyl❤️

A tribute to my Aunt and Godmother on what would have been her 58th birthday:
Happy Birthday Aunt Phyl! Today, you would have been 58 years young. You were taken away from us far too soon, but your impact on the world and the people in it will live on forever. You were the ultimate caregiver. You gave everything you had to your family, your friends, everyone. A true inspiration and source of strength for so many, you were able to walk the fine line of being demanding while always being encouraging. You had this incredible knack for being able to bring people together unlike anyone I have ever met. Your heart and words were always so warm, you always made everyone around you feel at home. It was an absolute honor to be your nephew and godson, you truly were one of the finest people I’ve ever known. And while you’re no longer with us, I will continue to draw strength from your spirit which will live on in all the people you’ve touched over the course of your 57+ years.
Love,
Christopher

Phyllis was not just my coworker, she was my confident and my friend. Words cannot express the loss I feel and am just heartbroken over her passing on Wednesday. Let me share with you the person Phyllis was. She was one of the kindest, most caring and giving person I ever met. She cared more for everyone else than herself. She made sure you were okay and everyday day made sure I had lunch and always asked me before she left if there was anything she can do to help me. She was selfless, funny and had a way with words. She remembered everything about you and always asked about your family. She was the first person to jump in and be onsite in an emergency whether that was in our office, on Clifton Ave or in the parking lot. She would give you the shirt off her back in a heartbeat. I’m proud to call Phyllis my friend. So dear friend I love you, will miss you everyday and will never forget you. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ My thoughts and prayers are will Phyllis’ family and friends. I hope you have comfortable in all the lives she touched and all the beautiful memories you have of her.

I remember Phyllis from back at SHS. Linda and I used to visit each other’s house after school. I always admired her big sister Phyllis. She was always so kind to us. We had gotten back in touch due to Facebook, and she had recently RSVP’d for a SHS reunion in June. I was so looking forward to seeing her and Linda again. I hold your entire family in my heart and my prayers. The heavens have gained a beautiful angel. May she Rest In Peace.

My favorite memory of Phyllis and I… Is when we used to play mystery date for hours… And we had the Beverlyhill Billy’s paper dolls and color forms...And we used to dress Jethro up in the girls clothes LOL and we would play for hours in the little life-size kitchen we had … We didn’t have money back then… But we had a beautiful childhood and we wanted for nothing except each other! She was such a bad girl; at every Christmas morning she would wake me up and we would open the presents and then re-wrap them before my parents got up! It wasn’t me mom or dad I promise you ! but that was the beauty of Phyllis… she did not like surprises and she was always in charge! That’s why I think she touched so many lives… I would call her mother of the world because she was worried endlessly about everyone she came in contact with… and then when my brother George came, she wanted to mother him always and she did an amazing job LOL my sister is a hero and will live on forever through her kindness and organ donation… I love you best friend! You are finally at peace and I Will see you again…

Mom,
You were a special kind of person. Always giving, so selfless and caring. You raised me to be just like you and I couldn’t be more proud. You knew how to light up a room with your smile. You always made everyone feel so loved and cared for. You are and always will be my number one just as I was to you. You were a great nurse, EMT, wife, friend, mom, daughter, aunt, cousin everything. You touched so many lives and are continuing to do so. Everyone who ever met you even for a moment was so blessed to know you. I love you.

I am deeply saddened to lose my dear friend! Phyliss! The kind of friend that you can just pick up where you left off with between gaps of not seeing or spraking too each other! Normally with zings and funny comments coming my way! It’s why I loved her! One memory that stands out for me is when I had lost my Mom very suddenly. I was touched to the bone when I saw Phyliss waiting her turn to greet me with a hug and kiss! Then of course some wise cracks! I’ll never forget that!
My deepest sympathies to Mr&Mrs Laski and her entire family! I can’t even imagine what you are going through!
