Obituary of Paul R. Mielke

Mielke, Paul R., 83, of Lyndhurst, died on Thursday, May 9, 2019.  Mr. Mielke was born and raised in Astoria, NY and was a resident of Lyndhurst for over 50 years.  Paul served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1956 - 1962 and then went on to work as a bookkeeper for Morgan Guaranty Trust Company in Manhattan for 29 years.  He was an avid Yankees fan.  Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Madeline Mielke (nee Marra) and their loving children, Marianne Chmielewski and her husband, Ray and Marilyn Mielke, and by his 2 dear grandchildren, Bryan and Daniel.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Monday, May 13, 2019 from 4 - 8 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 14 at 9 AM then to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Lyndhurst where at 10 AM a funeral mass will be offered.  Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul's memory to the American Diabetes Association, 575 Route 28, Building 2, #2107, Raritan, NJ 08869.
