Obituary of Alfred Ernest Hamer, Jr.

Hamer, Alfred Earnest, Jr., 73, of Lyndhurst, died on Thursday, August 15, 2019.  Mr. Hamer was born in Hackensack and was a resident of Lyndhurst for the past 16 years.  Alfred graduated from the Rutherford High School Special Education program, attended Lyndhurst's adult workshop, and worked for the Bergen County Animal Shelter for 10 years.  He is predeceased by his beloved parents, Alfred E. and Mary M. (nee Robinson) Hamer and by his sister, Wendy Hamer Savino.  Alfred is survived by his loving sister, Pattie Costanza - Carlucci and her husband, Gerard Carlucci, by his niece, Christie Lynn Costanza, by his best friend, Mary Lou Mullins, by his aides, Pia, Tricia, and Lisa, and by many dear relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 from 5 - 7 PM.  A funeral service will begin at 6:30 PM.  Cremation will be held in private.  In lieu of flowers, Alfred's family requests donations be made in his memory to Easterseals, Attn: Online Giving Coordinator, 141 W Jackson Blvd, Suite 1400A, Chicago, IL 60604 or online at easterseals.com
